Maternity Photo Shoot

While I was in Boston on a last minute trip a very close friend of mine offered to do a quick maternity photo shoot with me.  Even though we had limited time, the photos came out GREAT, and were more than I could have asked for!! The Bean in the Belly Video!

We took these videos of our first and our fourth ultrasounds. I edited the clips of our 21 week ultrasound so that you wouldn't be able to tell/hear the gender, so don't bother trying to figure it out. :)  I'll post the longer version at a later date.  Because we didn't get to tell many of our friends and family about our pregnancy in person, we decided to keep the gender a secret until Christmastime when we'll have our first baby shower in Boston and can tell everyone in person.  We'll have a fun way to tell everyone then!  Thanks to everyone for respecting our decision- we know you are all DYING to know!  But trust us- it will be WAY more fun this way!

Sharing the News with Grandparents and Friends!

Here is our "Baby Announcement #2" of us telling our grandparents and close friends.  Judah LITERALLY labored for DAYS over this project, trying to get it just right and finding the perfect songs.  He ended up making three different versions of it before he found a program that finally worked in the end.  Needless to say,  it was really important for us to have this documented for our future child.


Thanks to all our friends and family for "unknowingly" being a part of this video. :)  Also, we wanted to give honorable mentions to some great reactions that we didn't manage to catch on camera:  Amanda (who was an integral part of our own "finding out" story- read previous posts for more of this) and Hayden Donaho, Judy and Matt Frazee (who figured it out when I ordered cooked instead of raw sushi at dinner one night), Laura and Ryan Wagner (however, their "re-enactments" did make it on our video!) April Stadtman (who is also pregnant!), Kurt and Jaime Krohn (who are giving us over a years worth of baby clothes if we have a boy!) and Brian Lindsay.  We also got some amazing congratulation emails from the Clark/Perry Families, the Townsend Family, Marysol and DeWet Blomerus, Dani Kennedy, Bethany Temple, Kandia Tunney, Haleigh Stanway, Sharon and Kevin Croker, Katherine Hicks, Kim and Jaime Bertrand, Aimee Reimersma, Christina Skillman, Meryl and Kyle Bailey (who are living in China and also expecting their first child!), and Christina and Balaz Toth.  We are SO blessed to have such amazing friends and family!!!!


Before you watch, I have one funny story to tell.  On the video, right after I tell my friend Anda about our baby news she starts talking about a "poop dream" that she had.  I thought I should explain this a little further. For years, Anda will randomly have a dream about poop- every time it's different, but it's always about poop, and every time she has a dream like this she finds out a few days later that someone she knows is pregnant.  Every single time.  So, when I told her about the baby she says "OH!  So it was for YOU that I had that dream!"  And she starts to tell me about her most recent poop dream which had her frantically trying to find out who it was that was pregnant!  Apparently, that particular poop dream was for us!  :)
